My Aeroplan to Europe

10 days. That’s all I have left until my academic exchange to Copenhagen Business School in Denmark!

Slight tangent: I haven’t spent nearly enough time on my blog here, and I truly apologize for that! Since moving from Wordpress to Tumblr, I’ve lost a ton of followers who didn’t make the jump with me. Completely understandable and I only have myself to blame. The last two years – in business school and at the student society – have gone by so fast, it feels like just yesterday that I started at Gustavson (more on that later). But, as I embark on a trip to Europe, I promise to write regularly!

Back on topic: Next week I am leaving to Europe (for the first time ever) until December! I’ve be living in Copenhagen, Denmark and attending CBS – Copenhagen Business School.

Last year I put quite a bit (~$75,000) on my charge card and, as an unknown consequence, I racked up some serious Amex points to use for flights. Because of this, I booked my flight months ago using Air Canada’s Aeroplan program.

As everyone knows, I’m not a big fan of Air Canada. I searched Aeroplan’s site for hours trying to find a complete trip without touching any AC metal! Therefore, I ended up with a mid-week trip that takes me from Victoria to YVR, then off to Frankfurt on Lufthansa (as pictured above), connecting to SAS to Copenhagen.

On the way back, I leave Copenhagen to London-Heathrow, then back to the States in San Francisco and finally Victoria. An additional plus to this itinerary, seeing as it will be Christmas time, is that I miss any east coast storms and go straight to San Francisco. Much better in my opinion – but that’s my “inner aviator” speaking!

So, in summary, stay tuned to many more posts in the near future! I’ll also be posting some video updates and, as always, I’m active on Twitter with a new handle. @connoredwards.

I must run, however, because it’s Michela’s birthday and I promised her that I’d show for some drinks at Rooftop!

Tak and Skål [Thanks and cheers in Danish]
