Which way to the autobahn?

I’m still in Victoria – but for only one more week! And between post-graduate job interviews and finishing up school, I’ve been starting to pack for Copenhagen.

I started by meeting with my friend who spent last fall in Denmark at CBS. She told me some great tips about packing for Europe, including picking up a pair of Sorel boots. Being from Victoria, I own a ton of flip-flops, boat shoes and some running shoes. I had never even heard of these winter toesavers!! I searched everywhere in the city and found what I think was the only pair in Victoria, which just happened to be in my size! They are pictured above.

Next, I was tipped off to get an international driver’s permit that will come in handy while abroad. I assumed these were issued at our local DMV, however, after waiting in a long line, I was told to go to the nearest BCAA office instead.

Sorel Boots

Another 15 minutes later, I had this bad boy in my hands! It’s accepted in something like 150 countries, including most of Europe. From past Gustavson exchangers, I’ve heard that renting an RV to Oktoberfest or test-driving some German sports cars have been popular activities. I want to take a road trip to Legoland in northern Denmark as suggested by my friend Kendall.

I’m Euro-bound soon! Skal!
